mAPPot

Lapplicazione mAPPot fa parte di una serie di iniziative volte a celebrare il cinquecentesimo anniversario della istituzione del Ghetto ebraico di Venezia.
Il nome mAPPot fa riferimento alle mappe storiche che costituiscono la base grafica dellapplicazione e prende spunto dal medesimo termine ebraico che indica i teli che proteggono il Sefer Tohra e che, anticamente, veniva utilizzato anche col significato di mappa.Lapplicazione consente di visualizzare alcuni itinerari tematici allinterno della città di Venezia e di localizzare i luoghi che ne fanno parte.
Si tratta di edifici pubbli e privati, monumenti, spazi di aggregazione, ecc.
che, a partire dallistituzione del Ghetto di Venezia, hanno caratterizzato la presenza ebraica nella città.La cartografia della città è rappresentata da tre mappe di grande valore storico e artistico: la veduta di Jacopo de Barbari del 1500, la pianta topografica di Ludovico Ughi e la planimetria dei fratelli Bernardo e Gaetano Combatti del 1846.E possibile ricercare i luoghi attraverso una lista di selezione oppure cliccando direttamente sui punti che li rappresentano sulla mappa.
Ogni luogo è descritto da una pagina di informazioni che comprende, oltre ad un breve testo, unimmagine e la mappa interattiva di Google dove è possibile visualizzare lattuale collocazione.Se utilizzata in modalità GPS on, lapplicazione mostra, con un apposito simbolo grafico, la localizzazione dellutente sulla mappa attualmente visualizzata.Lapplicazione è stata sviluppata dal Laboratorio di Cartografia e GIS dellUniversità IUAV di Venezia per conto di CoopCulture, cooperativa operante nel settore dei beni e delle attività culturali in Italia.The mAPPot application is part of a series of initiatives to celebrate the five hundredth anniversary of the establishment of the Jewish Ghetto of Venice.
